Strategic reviews and strategic planning: 

Bringing together a wide range of experience and skills in the strategic elements of charity and faith based work, Danny will accompany you in developing your overall strategic direction.

Engagement Startegy: 

Danny has extensive expereince in helping charities and faith based organsaitions to develop deatiled, robust strategies to engage volunteers and participants into the mission and activity of organisations. Using tried and tested frameworks and tools, Danny can help you identify the motivations, opportunties and factors which will retain people in your servcies and  enable you to extend your impact.

Governance reviews and training of boards of trustees:

Danny is passionate about governance and is a seasoned charity trustee and Chair. He can offer insight into appropriate and effective governance and leadership structures to support the impact your organisation is seeking to make. Alongside facilitating governance and leadership reviews, Danny offers training to boards and senior executives, using his facilitative style.

Danny also partners with associates from Camino House to combine a facilitative approach with robust analysis of the current situation and future need. Together we will help ensure all of your key stakeholders – from staff, to beneficiaries and donors – are of one mind for your future plans.

Fundraising

Danny spent several years working as a charity fundraiser, securing grants from trusts, foundations and central Government. He has also developed overall fundraising strategies for charities and worked extensively in major donor fundraising.  Although no longer offering dedicated fundraising work, Danny offers fundraising consultancy as part of wider strategic projects.

Clients include:

Executive Director, Books Beyond Words: Danny led the development of this small social enterprise from no staff and little turnover, to a team of nine employees making a huge social impact. He designed and led a three-year plan to manage the change from a small project within a larger charity to an independent organisation. He worked with the Board of Directors and the Chair, Baroness Sheila Hollins, to lead on implementing this strategy as interim Executive Director.

Caritas Westminster: Danny led on the original research process of engaging key people in contributing to a potential vision and remit for the work of a new diocesan Caritas agency. This involved online research and a consultative road show throughout the diocese, reaching 400 parishioners, priests and service providers within the local Catholic community. He then took a lead role in working with an advisory group to produce the final recommendations for the Diocesan Trustees. Danny continues to work with Caritas Westminster as a facilitator and consultant, as it assesses how best to structure itself as a new organisation within the diocese.

CAFOD and Missio: Supporting the Catholic Church’s two official agencies for overseas mission to examine how to work more closely together. This work arose after previous work with both organisations including leading the development of the Missio major donor programme, implementing a bespoke approach, sensitive to the needs and values of the organisation.
